Hehe, that was fun. Almost like being read a story, because you had to read at the pace the letters were revealing themselves instead of normally.

And I loved the line about how everyone was afraid of what they could have been.

There's always something so tragic about that line. Whenever I read it. Whoever's saying it. It always sounds so final and devastating. As though the only thing he'll ever be able to do is remember. *sniff*

I like how the reader can interpret the final kiss as a triumphant or tragic act. As a "welcome home" or "farewell". That I, the reader, can choose to rejoice to cry. And I love that my emotional range is so polar. So extreme.
